Sales Manager – Freight Forwarding, Vietnam

Key Experience

1. At least 5 years of experience in sales within the freight forwarding industry. Preferably, experience in both air freight and sea freight sectors.
2. Demonstrate understanding of Vietnam's local freight forwarding landscape with a proven track record in local business development, particularly in import/export.
3. Established well connected network of local importers and connections with freight forwarders.

Key Capabilities

1. 5-10 years of experience in Freight Forwarding sales (Ocean Freight), specializing in trade lane specific freight forwarding sales, especially preparing own consoles.
2. Proven track record of active sales involvement for the past 2 years with freight forwarders, direct customers dealing with shipments Strategic thinking with the capacity to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the daily operations of the sales division, with a focus on promoting international freight services.
2. Acquire new business opportunities while ensuring profitability and exceed sales objectives while cultivating enduring client partnerships.
3. Foster and manage relationships with global agents to bolster trade routes.
4. Identify avenues for product enhancement to capitalize on market demand.
5. Collaborate closely with clients and interdisciplinary teams to implement effective logistics strategies.
6. Oversee customer shipments to ensure exceptional service standards are maintained.
7. Cultivate and sustain strong ties with suppliers and drive operational efficiencies within departmental processes.
8. Spearhead sustainable growth initiatives within assigned geographical areas and customer clusters.

Requirements

1. In-depth knowledge of Vietnam's freight forwarding industry, proficiency in both air freight and sea freight domains is advantageous.
2. Demonstrated ability to focus on and excel in local business development, particularly in import/export.
3. The candidate should be below 45 years of age and must be a resident of Vietnam.
