Key Experience

1. 5-10 years of experience in Freight Forwarding LCL sales (Ocean Freight), specializing in trade lane specific freight forwarding sales, especially preparing own consoles.
2. Proven track record of active sales involvement for the past 2 years with freight forwarders, direct customers dealing with LCL shipments.

Key Capabilities

1. Excellent network of freight forwarders and customers dealing with LCL shipments, catering to multiple trade lanes, with knowledge of trade lane specific pricings.
2. Ability to develop and present comprehensive business plans outlining client base, volume projections, key destinations in India, gross profit analysis, and sales strategies.
3. Experience in forecasting and achieving Gross Profit targets with potential expansion plans for sales teams over 1-3 years.

Responsibilities

1. Optimize the LCL strategy, define break points, and transition from provider/co-loader scenarios to direct consolidation containers.
2. Collaborate with management to establish and develop the LCL product into a profitable revenue stream.
3. Maximize revenue and gross profit by identifying and closing deals with customers within the assigned territory.
4. Develop prospective clients through cold calling and servicing existing clients.
5. Identify and develop LCL consolidation programs for key trade lanes with key stakeholders.
6. Monitor and develop customer pipeline in coordination with the account management team.
7. Handle LCL Request for Quotes (RFQs) and ensure timely responses.
8. Achieve sales targets by onboarding new clients and expanding the LCL customer base.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university. Strong understanding of ocean freight sales and operations.
2. Demonstrated expertise in product portfolio management and profit & loss (P&L) ownership.
3. Strategic mindset with strong execution capabilities with customer-focused with excellent attention to detail and a drive to serve customers.
